I woke this morning with a painful knee. No obvious reason - I hadn't done an excessive amount of anything the day before. Despite it, once W went off to the gardening club I spent time in our garden planting the stuff that arrived yesterday.
Six small primrose plants planted into the side of the ditch, three young Angelica plants and three young greater mullein at the base - these should, along with the foxgloves already growing there since last year and the evening primrose, improve the appearance and diversity, and with a bit of luck the mullein will self seed. I'd also like to add some honesty.
I also planted some pulsatilla, and some candelabra primulas into our still very underdeveloped flower beds.
It was a very hot morning - I worked slowly, and was glad to finish.
In the evening, we went to a concert in Waterford. As I was walking back to the car, I realised that the painful knee had recovered - clearly the excellent guitar music had worked some magic!
