Kaleidoscope

It looks as though this fine spell of weather is about to break. No just blue skies today but full sun and clouds.

My creative today is a kaleidoscope. In fact, two kaleidoscopes. In some places where I post my pictures, I am invited to write an ALT text for blind and partially sighted people.

I am quite capable of writing a "dry" description of the photo, but I want to write something more imaginative for the ALT description and I have started this morning. There is no provision on this site to write a ALT description within the photo, so I'm writing the description under the photo.

You can let me know what you think if you like.

This is actually from the yellow flower and bumblebee from yesterday, and it is a Kaleidoscope in the Laboscope app.
My ALT description for this was:
'This is a kaleidoscope I took with the app Laboscope on the iPad, from my photo of yesterday...
This one bursts with life! It feels like a secret garden where bumblebees wear gossamer capes, and every flower has a tale to tell...
After closing my eyes and having a daydream about it, here is a description:
"A circle of yellow archangel blossoms unfurls like a sunlit canopy, dappled with deep green leaves freckled in silver. Bumblebees hover mid-feast, their soft hum caught in an endless moment. This kaleidoscope is spring paused mid-breath, when pollen hangs in the air and the garden leans in, time hums gently, everything listening to the bees."
I also had ideas of a midsummer ball (but it is not mid summer yet), where petals spin like dancers in yellow silk, and leaf-lanterns flicker softly overhead.'

Next kaleidoscope in extras...

'This is a random kaleidoscope I took with the app Laboscope on the iPad.
There’s something soft and glowing about it, like folded fabric and gentle light meeting in a quiet dance.
After closing my eyes and having a daydream about it, here is a description:
“A velvet star unfolds in twilight, edges stitched with love - hearts, butterflies and quiet promises. It is a memory softened by time — warm, tender, and mysterious. In its heart, a ripple of deep blue hums as a lullaby that draws you in, to a calm that knows no words.” '.

Just my latest ideas, because I was finding it a chore writing down, the ALT text descriptions on my photos for blind or partially sighted people. Actually, it was not so much a chore, but that I could not find any guidelines of how to make this interesting for someone who could not see a photograph properly. There are plenty of guidelines to explicitly state what was in the picture/photo, but no guidelines to put imagination to your description.

And so I am experimenting with that now...

I had better go out in the garden while we still have something left of this fine weather.

Have a good day

Have fun

Use your imagination....

Lunch now...
