Nuts!

I love nuts of all kind and eat a fair amount of them during the day. At the moment I am particularly enjoying pistachios, apparently they have just about all the nutritional elements you could wish for, but I just like the taste.

Today I found a recipe in the Guardian’s Feast supplement - Crunchy pistachio chocolate bar. This is said to be a copy of a well-known chocolate bar. (Well known on social media that is, I have to say it has passed me by!) If you don’t have kataifi pastry (?) you can apparently use Shredded Wheat! Then follows a complicated method of melting chocolate of different types, making a pistachio cream, baking the pastry (or Shredded Wheat) until you have everything ready to put in a mould (?) in layers. Oh and then the next day you pour more chocolate over the top and leave to set overnight. Then you hope it comes out of the mould.

I suppose this might be cheaper than the apparently exorbitantly expensive bought bar . . .

. . . I think I’ll just continue quietly shelling and eating these pistachios.
