Today's the day  . . . . . . . . .  for bespoke design

We've just finished decorating our bedroom and we're very pleased with the way it has turned out.  It wasn't a major re-organisation - just a new colour scheme and general freshening up of decor.

We needed a new lampshade for the lamp to fit in with the new colours - and there was no question where we would go for it.  We love the designs of Lucy Hadley, who has a studio/shop in Kirkcudbright - but also happens to be a good friend.  Her designs are all inspired by her love of the natural world and are bright, colourful and very inspiring.

We went along to see her and it didn't take us long to decide on the lampshade that we wanted.  And when she told us that part of the inspiration for this particular design, were the house martins that nest on the Tongland Bridge, just over the fence from us - we knew that it was absolutely meant to be and the right choice for us . . . . . . . !
