Trixie's Adventures

What a difference a day makes

We came back from Edinburgh to St Ives on Monday to absolutely brilliant weather and it has been beautiful until today. Today Mr Sunshine had disappeared and in his place was dark clouds. However, I still managed to get my morning walk before it started to rain. And just look what I found.................. a manky old tennis ball. Yay!

Ann went back to work (for the first time in more than a month) and, after being on her feet for 5 hours, she was very tired when she got home, so she said, 'Trixie, instead of a walk would you be happy if we just went into the field and played with your ball?' Obviously I was happy. I'm a very adaptable little Collie and running around after my ball tires me out after about 15 mins. This afternoon I flopped down after about 5 throws but Ann said that wasn't nearly enough exercise for me so she made me play for longer. Lol!

Also, since we came back, we've done four 'I Walk Cornwall' walks, which has worn both of us out, so sometimes it's good to have a rest day.

Also, it rained a lot when Ann was at work and it looked like it was going to rain again.

Also, it was cold (we've had to put the heating on) and Ann was so tired, she just needed to give me a bit of exercise and then have a lie down.

Also Ann wanted to login to the 'Energy Ombudsman Portal' and update our complaint (before she forgot what she wanted to say). If anyone is interested; we've had massive problems with EDF who installed a new electric meter in our Edinburgh flat on 18th November 2024 (due to our meter being on the RTS system, & them telling us we needed a new one) and ever since then it's been one problem after another. So much so, that a couple of weeks ago Ann registered a complaint with the Energy Ombudsman, who we have to say have been very helpful and supportive. Not much point ranting on here I guess, but it's all very time consuming and mentally exhausting for my human.

Also, it's Saturday night and sometimes it's just nice to have a night in doing nothing.

Soooooooo................... that's been our day. Heating on, lights on, TV on. I've gobbled up my dinner and am in snooze mode again. Ann wishes she'd had her dinner and was in snooze mode............... but she's not! She's just poured herself a glass of wine.

Happy Saturday evening peeps. x
