Stour Street Sun
Friday. It was a hot sunny day that felt like summer… reaching 21 degrees in the afternoon. I had a long shift full of hustle, but my last meeting was cancelled in a random stroke of mercy. Work took me out into the city after lunch to a job on Stour Street. On my way back to the car, I took a few photos capturing the bright red foliage of this Photinia bush in the warm sunlight.
We’re having an early family gathering for Easter. Monty’s returning to Loughborough tomorrow, earlier than planned—he has finals next term and has been finding it more challenging to study at home with all the distractions here. It’s Dash’s 15th in a couple of weeks, and he has mock GCSEs the following day—so he asked if he could celebrate his birthday early as well. Ed, Tara, Gail and Luca visited for the weekend, and we had our first BBQ of the year with truly enormous steaks Vanessa had bought in a local farm shop.
A most excellent and lively evening rounded itself off with a fantastic Friday Game night: chatting to good friends on Discord while happily twatting monsters with an exceedingly big stick. Perfect.
