Bus Pass Walk

Backblip for Tuesday 8 April. Another beautiful sunny day and without the sneaky wind it was very warm too. Travelled to East Riddlesden Hall for a coffee stop and one of their excellent scones. Then we walked along the canal towpath to 5 Rise Locks Cafe for lunch. The main photo is of a view I love on this route - always beautiful colours whatever the time of year. The collage in extras shows the "shark boat" which when alongside seems like a submarine on top of a boat. The Mohican robotic head is atop this boat - it looks like the eyes maybe light up at night. The other photos are sheep sheltering from the heat, and a heron on the look out for lunch. Not a long walk, but about the furthest I have been for a while. The steep hill down from 5 Rise was painful on my knee, and I must have over-compensated as now my left knee feels as though it is sprained as well! Joy!  :-(
