Gettysburg National Military Park

From Warfield Ridge.

We joined Helen to spread brother Daniel's ashes at Little Round Top as per his wishes. 

We visited here with him 4 years ago, no idea then, that we would be doing this today.

Andrew and Stacey drove up from Tennessee. Pete and Anne came up from Maryland. Bill and Andrea brought all their kids and dogs and a cat from NOVA. Christopher and Megan came with David from East Carolina.
Maisie came and paid her respects yesterday. It was overcast, cool and wet which kept the crowds away from the park.

Farewell my friend. 

I am a bit overwhelmed by this place today, a testament to the inhumanity of war, and the struggle for the rights of the common man.
