Hummingbird!

What a fine Saturday it was to hang out around the house and get a few things done. I weeded along the deck path. I did laundry. I made a hefty lasagna that weighed in around 10 pounds (or so it seemed!). All of that and a bunch of other little things that there just isn't time for during my work week.

And in the afternoon, I managed to find a half-hour to sit in the backyard watching the hummingbirds. The daylight is shifting and the butterfly garden is only in bright sunlight for a portion of the afternoon now. Hard to believe that in a little more than a month, the little birds will begin winging their way south . . .
