afternoon snack

What a spectacular blue sky Sunday.
A long and leisurely bush walk with Astro ...and what a patient lad he is with all the blip stops on the way.
Today's highlights include donkey orchids, orange tree fungi glowing in the light, spectacular wood grain and this gorgeous white tailed black cockatoo.
Usually they perch high in the eucalypts but this dude had found a secret stash of gumnuts at eye level.
As cockie stripped,chewed, munched and dropped discarded nuts on the ground, A and I sat on a a fallen tree trunk and watched the antics.

Working through this larder as I would a bag of Maltesers, I have no doubt as to the healthier option :)
