McGonagal Haiku
William Topaz McGonagall was a hopeless Scottish poet, but one imbued with a misguided belief in his own genius. He went to great lengths in a failed attempt to gain the patronage of Queen Victoria. Spike Milligan loved him and there are books written about him including the one pictured.
Here is my impression of a McGonagall haiku.
One day I was climbing a very big hill
Which caused me to feel most awfully ill
But luckily the doctor gave me a pill
And now I’m fine
*A haiku is a Japanese form of short poetry.
