Better weather than I expected today though we need a lot more rain than the small amount that fell overnight.

Feeling stiff after yesterday’s gardening I decided to have an easy day. First I beat the tourists to Millerground parking area and had a wander to the lake and along the shore. Put some fuel in the car on the way home (cheaper than Ambleside) and bought a few groceries.

The afternoon included a snooze, some reading and the boat race.
