Swiftsure running into Tenterden Town platform

Ready to couple up to the Wealden Pullman Sunday Lunch Dining train running empty coaching stock to Northiam to pick up today’s diners.

Two full days on the Railway, Thursday with the Society and Friday in the signalbox and with friends on Saturday. Today was a short shift volunteering with Plastic Free Tenterden’s Green Fun Day hosted by the Railway.

In past years we’ve performed as the Marmites as part of the entertainment on the Green Fun Day. Not this year. All I had to do was to man the gate and issue passes to performers and participants. I was done by 11.00am and home for an early lunch.

Having a bit of time to ourselves we took off for Whitstable on our regular walk from Seasalter to Tankerton and back calling in at our regular watering hole at the Hotel Continental for tea and a portion of spicy butter beans!

Home for a FaceTime with Chris and Maddy in California. They’re off to see a Padres baseball game. Landon’s little league baseball team and other teams are parading on the pitch before the game and have a chance to run the bases afterward. All in front of a huge capacity crowd. Maddy was a joy to see and talk too
