Family history

I was contacted by the son of one of my mum's cousins who wanted to be able to tell his children about the family history.  My late mum researched ours back to the 1700s in the days before computers.

She also wrote some family/local history books and contributed to a Shropshire magazine that specialised in such things.  J came to see me tthis afternoon to collect a copy of some of them.  Three are pictured for my blip, the little girl is my mum when a bridesmaid for one of Grandad's sisters.  My grandad is pictured in the middle book.

We had a lovely time talking about our joint relatives (our grandads were from a family of eleven children)  and also about how the village used to be.  A great afternoon of nostalgia!
