Wildlife surprises

We've had quite a day of countryside surprises.  Bluey the blue tit is on day 8 of egg production, a dead heron in a tree, a dead squirrel in our garden shed and a pile of leaves that I feared was a rat's nest which turned out to be something else entirely.  I'm currently blipping whilst thunder and lightening is going on outside - another surprise! But of course my blip had to be my friend Jo who, I don't see often enough, and who is celebrating her 60th year.  We enjoyed a walk in the sunshine around Pocket Park this morning before she headed home.

It's been a lovely weekend spent with good friends.
