Looking for silver linings
I was awake earlier than yesterday but still had a pretty lazy morning, until deciding to investigate the curious case of Fidra's missing idle adjusting knob. After removing half the bodywork again, I found it: it had somehow jumped out of its bracket. Reinstalled I decided to run the engine until it was warm and then see if I could adjust things.
I couldn't. Worse, there was smoke coming out from somewhere under the throttle bodies but I couldn't tell where from. And to add to the joy, Fidra dumped another puddle of coolant on the floor. Despite running the engine again I couldn't work out where it had come from, but the smoke continued. I took the air box off again and poked and prodded but nothing looked out of place. So I shoved the bike into the corner, tidied up and went back in. I don't have the spoons to carry on like this. The clouds at lunchtime were quite interesting I thought, with huge long streaks of cirrus, and I liked the lens flare from the sun.
To cheer myself up I have dyed my hair extremely red again.
