Blossom at Cambo
Mike ran S to the station first thing. Weird being here without her.
A lovely day. The sun shone and it was perfect. We went to one of our favourite places, Cambo. The hellebores, all the different spring bulbs, the blossom on the trees, it was a beautiful sight. Three grey wagtails on the burn too.
It was really too hot for Lottie. She kept hunting out the shade under the trees, so we retired into the converted stables which are now an excellent cafe and gift shop. As much as possible of the food is home grown, so fresh and delicious, lots of interesting flavours and combinations. And staff were all helpful and friendly too. A really interesting place.
We did buy a few plants, obviously! Now we just have to keep them alive until we get back home and safely in the ground.
Watered the garden in the evening. It really needed it. It's a thing we rarely have to do at home, but it was a gentle peaceful way to enjoy the garden and see all the plants S has growing.
