Another Fun Sunday

My sister texted me after midnight quite worried about her hubby. His cough was uncontrollable and neither of us has the nerve to drive off their ridge. I gave her my best advice based on my own experience with upper respiratory infections. He got in a steamy shower and it seemed to help some. Being such a worry wort, I was awake so I read until after 4:00 am. That’s why I was still in bed at 9:00 am. It was windy all day but the temps were spring-like. We ate a small breakfast and caught up on e-mail and texts. Parker brought back the borrowed chain saw and we chatted for quite some time. We are so impressed with his long and short range plans. My sister called with a status so Parker headed to his afternoon job. They got on the road around 10:00 after a sleepless night. They were still driving in the mountains. Have not received an update. My girls are on the way home. Kristen was in SC at 2:00 pm. They plan to drive home tonight without stopping except for necessary breaks. Kim landed safely in DC a few hours ago so she should be home soon. Renee is still in SC with her mom. We went to Brooklyn’s game at 2:00 pm. She played very well. We won 4-1. But the highlight was seeing this female silver lab puppy. She looks so much like Trek did at that age and she was adoringly friendly. We saw this antique truck when we left the game. We were going grocery shopping but hubby and I were both hungry. We had gift cards at Longhorn and hadn’t been there for a long time. It was delicious and we have enough for another meal each. Hubby shopped for his bluegrass camping trip and he got waterproof bins for the basement. I took care of regular groceries. It has been a fun Sunday but I am ready for the recliner and a cup of coffee or tea. Wishing you a productive week ahead. Be safe. Thanks for visiting. "On this lovely Sunday, remember to take a deep breath and relax. Enjoy your family, your friends and indulge yourself in a nice cup of coffee." — Unknown
