Wassat?
This is as much as we saw of the sun today.
My plan for the day had been to garden at K's this morning and do stuff at home after lunch, but I decided to spend the dry morning in my own garden - mostly behind the lawnmower - and the wet afternoon in the kitchen. (I'll go to K's later in the week.)
The grass has been 'asking' to be cut for several days, but I have resolutely found more interesting things to do. However with a very wet week in the forecast I knew if I didn't get it done today I would kick myself. So for an hour and a half I steered the mower all over the place. It looks excellent now of course, and I feel irrationally pleased with myself.
I took the photo when I was half way round the main lawn. The view is northwards, looking across the water tank, the truck and the fence around the bath deck...
It was a warm morning with northerly winds taking it up to 22C. Then at 1:45pm a cold southerly kicked in and the temperature had plummeted to 12C by 2:30.
By that time I was ensconced indoors with milk to pasteurise, carrots to clean and cook, and - frabjous day - I have caught up with all but the very latest Blips.
