Mr & Mrs HCB
Today was an excellent day.
Firstly, I was up at 5.30am as had to leave at 6.30am to drive to an important hospital appointment for my daughter (15) in Oxford.
She has a rare disorder and I have been praying continuously for a year for healing. I have been so lucky that my church family and friends have also done the same.
Today our prayers were answered. She is starting to make steps towards recovery, the tests she had today were incredibly positive and she can reduce her steroids down a bit, slowly. They also gave her fexofenadine for her allergies also today which should help her general health during hayfever season.
Then I drove to Mr & Mrs HCB’s house of blip foto fame for lunch.
I love being with them both as they are like parents to me now, Mrs HCB made an amazing soup and lovely pudding with fresh rhubarb from the garden (one of my faves!), we have been praying a lot together today which is very special and chatting and laughing all together.
I am sure Mr HCB thinks we have both lost the plot at times, especially when Mrs HCB breaks into song hahahaha! (You can tell she’s feeling better when that happens!).
Mr HCB gave me a tour of the garden, as I am interested in gardening in recent years, I really enjoy his knowledge and watching their garden develop over the summer months. It really is a sight to behold and takes a lot of hard work. Though we did have to tell Mrs HCB off for doing too much pruning yesterday and making her hand sore!
This week my daughter is with her dad so I’ll have some time to myself, which of course I’ve filled with all sorts of things, no rest for me!
Have a great week everyone, and thank you for all your lovely comments, stars, hearts etc. since I joined, I am loving blip and can totally see why you all do too! xx
