The Woodland Garden (Monday 14th April 2025)
I spent an hour or more in the garden yesterday expecting my gardener to join me, but that didn't happen. It did give me a chance to use my electric hedge-trimmer to trim back the hedge and Refna's Cloud. I noticed the bluebells had appeared so popped out today to photograph them. I think these are at least partially Spanish, having been here before I moved in, but they are still wild flowers, so are entered for Miranda's Wild Flower Challenge, with thanks.
The solar panels are back in working order and the roofers seem to have finished over a week ago, but no-one can yet tell me whether the rendering around the chimney was done or not, so there is a hold up before the scaffolding can be removed.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Joe Stubbs - It's Love Baby (24 Hours Of The Day) (recorded 3-17 June 1967, Detroit MI)
Joe Stubbs was the younger brother of the Four Tops' Levi Stubbs, but was a bit of an also-ran during his time at Motown. He had previously sung with the Falcons and at Motown he was a member of the Contours and the Originals, but not always as their lead singer. He made some solo recordings but none were released at the time.
It's Love Baby had been a hit for Ruth Brown and her Rhythmakers in 1957 and had also been recorded by Hank Ballard that same year and in 1964 by Jackie DeShannon. When the Motown backing track was made it was assigned to Stevie Wonder but was passed on to Joe Stubbs. His version was unreleased until the download album Motown Unlimited 1967 in 2017, and made its physical debut this month on the album Hit And Run! - More Motown Guys, played by me on CD on this day.
