Tess Barrage (and road bridge)

Been on my blip radar for a while. The extra shows the facts and figures and the colour version which is well worth a quick look if you can.

Opened in April 1995, it controls the flow of the river Tees and prevents flooding and tidal changes. (That’s probably obvious but just in case you didn’t know….)

I think it’s fascinating. And as I was literally just along the road from there today, I built in enough time after my appointment to visit, see what it’s all about and get my blip.

My appointment was for my follow up after my cataract op which was 4 weeks ago today. All completely successful and signed off from them. Eye drops finish today and they were very pleased with the improvement in my vision. (As am I of course)
