Bon Voyage

Unfortunately the early night we’d planned last night didn’t materialise as we stayed up till nearly 1am to watch Rory McIlroy win the Masters and his career Grand Slam! Needless to say Mr P and I were rather tired when we had to get up just after 5am this morning.
Fortunately I’d booked us a cabin for our 6hr crossing from Portsmouth to Caen and it was very smooth, so we managed to get a decent amount of sleep after tucking into an eat as much as you like breakfast (we made the most of it). Another 4 hours or so drive from Caen and now we’re in a gîte about 10km from Poitiers
