If you can't beat them...

Fly on Hosta

We needed a few things for the holiday let and Clickychick had an appointment in Carlisle.  So after helping Kanyl collect his car from MOT we set off.   First stop was the cash and carry.  When we finished there it was lunch time.  The question was where to go for lunch.

As we had time to kill we decided on Dobbies.  Lunch was a surprise.  It seems that they do an "senior citizens" lunch every day.  Not just that it was a normal sized meal plus a cake for a reduced price.  So a good lunch and the chance for a blip.  Then on to our next port of call and coffee.  No cake we were still too full.

Just as we were getting ready to leave a man approached us and said "I thought I recognised that beard".  It was Mike the IT technician I was working with for the last 10 years of career.  We had a good catch up and then set off early to CC's appointment.

About 400 yards away from the appointment the traffic was diverted.  40 minutes later we arrived at her appointment.  Most of that time we were in a nose to tail queue caused by traffic lights we were on a minor residential road joining a main road into Carlisle.  So only two or three cars out at a time.  CC dashed through the doors of the appointment dead on time.  Leaving me to park the car, yes I know I shouldn't be driving for another week but the few yards to park the car I managed easily.
