Gift of Life

This sculpture at Winchester's hospital commemorates all the local donors of tissue and organs who have enabled others to live. I do like the butterfly theme.
It's the only thing that I photographed today,  taken when I went for a short break from  spending hours by my Mother's bedside. She's fading fast , but seems comfortable.  She rambled all morning and was tired by the afternoon when my sister C arrived from Cornwall. 
We spoke to our sister in Australia this evening.  She phoned my mum this morning but couldn't really understand what she was saying. But, thank goodness for mobile phones at times like these.
