Russia has high inflation as the EU develops its 17th package of sanctions. 

“The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development plans to invest €1 billion ($1.1 billion) this year in Ukraine’s energy sector after facilities were devastated by Russian attacks.
“Energy security is the most important” area, Matteo Patrone, vice president at the London-based lender, told reporters in Kyiv. The bank has already deployed €2 billion since the full-scale invasion began in 2022, and funding will increase “substantially” in 2025, he said.”
