Our usual Monday morning Nero Moment. Duncan served us today and his delivery was perfect! S had the cinnamon bun and I had the almond.

I had a chat with Dennis one of the regulars . He’s elderly and was talking about how he doesn’t know how long he will be able to keep his licence and he has dry type of macular degeneration (which I know about as my mum had the dry in one eye and wet in the other with dry being the worst). He has a consultant appointment in a few weeks. But feels confident atm. Shame. It will be debilitating. I probably will get it if my mum had it.

Walked home. Thankfully have finalised the accommodation and itinerary for the Sicily trip next Wednesday. Ragusa Ibla, for 3 nights with a coach from Catania after landing. Then 3 nights in Syracuse-Ortiga, and finally last night in Catania city as flight at 1:15pm next day. Phew! Now to check in on the flight.
