Jonquils. ('Rush Daffodil')
Always the first where there is full sun.
These, although in a sunny part of the woods near the yard, likely were part of earth tossed here during an ancient garden clean-up.
These will produce yellow flowers.  These are unusual, most native growth like Trilliums are well behind.
