Shoots and leaves

Shortly after taking this picture of what I think are asparagus shoots (??), three roe deer appeared out of nowhere and were hotly pursued by Hector across the adjacent field, down a path, and into the grounds of a house at the end. The deer outran him (as they always do) and he outran us (as he always does). He was eventually retrieved by Mr DA and then we all went home. Just a regular day in the life of a Border Terrier and his owners.
