An excursion

John and I drove to see Hiitolanjoki, a river cleared of dams and such in recent years to allow salmon to migrate from Lake Ladoga to the headwaters to spawn. We had packed a lunch, and coffee in a thermos. Beautiful day to enjoy it all. In the extra a few shots from a Sculpture Park in Parikkala, intriguing work by Veijo Rönkkönen. He lived from 1944 to 2010 and filled his yard with sculptures.
