Nautical pursuits

The exclusive Clube Naval viewed from Avenida Friedrich Engels, which runs along the top of the escarpment. This high-falutin (spelling dubious - the internet is undecided) establishment for sailing, swimming and other nautical pursuits has been around since the early days of the twentieth century to entertain the Portuguese aristocracy and naval officers.

I’m standing a stone’s throw from the place I first lodged temporarily in Maputo when I moved here in 2018. Lots of interesting memories of time spent living here.
