Garden opening

Nick and Lillian's garden at the other end of the village was open today under Scotland's Garden Scheme and in aid of Breast Cancer Research.

It was a showery kind of day which made for some dramatic skies and meant we did not stray far from shelter. Their garden is fairly exposed and the wind was making its presence felt. Nick has created the garden basically from scratch. It is a significant achievement and I particularly like all the different walks around it which he has created.

I love these garden openings. I've had mine open in the past and it is a significant undertaking but very rewarding.

And there are always bargains at the plant stall.
