Through the arched window……

…… well doorway actually, into the station.

Sis & I were just heading back to the car, when the “level crossing gates began to close” slight disappoint as it was a diesel engine pulling the old ELR carriages. The train came to a stop in the station just as we were passing the doorway, pretty pleased to spot this steam engine at the back end, perfectly framed :-)

It’s bloomin cold today, had to dig out my “big” coat & ankle boots, windy rainy, just 6c

Sis came, we called at the farm for chicken breasts, she got fabulous leg of lamb, & pork sausages too…. lovely lunch, smashed avocado, poached egg & a rasher of bacon on toast…… stuffed, don’t think I’ll be having much for tea lol. A bit of shopping, too chilly to mooch, another brew then back to mine.

I’m just about to fill my cool box with things that won’t keep until we’re back Sunday….. when C has a gig at the local Royal British Legion. Fingers crossed his mouth has healed a bit more by then, after his extractions & new plate :-/ He has had to cancel his Good Friday gig, hoping that extra day will be enough to enable him to do Sat & Sun !! The dentist has done a good job, but twice delayed the actual extractions & now here we are at Easter having to cancel gigs that C can ill afford to do :-/

I’ve not fully unpacked following my trip to Southampton, just need to add some bits & pieces…. hoping to get on the road by 7pm
