Great Day
I woke up feeling slightly ‘wobbly’, as I have aged I find I prefer my own bedroom - right temperature & humidity, my own bed - more comfortable, my own toilet - right height and my own shower - right pressure and temperature.
I still like the idea of travelling, just with my own comforts.
We had breakfast as a group before gathering for the photo used in today’s ‘Blip’ then splitting up for various activities during the day. Mrs S and I opted for a stroll into the village to catch the bus into Wolverhampton. We were to visit Blooms Gentleman’s Outfitters to replace my original ‘Bakers Boy Cap’. Purchased in York on my sixty-fifth birthday trip and lost on the return from Scotland last December, sad day.
I chose and Mrs S paid, I also had the most delightful belt added to my birthday gifts. No pictures, we have to wait until I receive them, still nearly a fortnight away.
The group met up again for a pre dinner drink before walking down to the Mermaid Inn by the Staffordshire & Worcester Canal. Good to be with my class mates again, relaxing over good food and a beer or three and already planning next years reunion.
The walk back was an effort on a full stomach but a pre bed beer eased the way.
A long but really good day.
