Wednesday: Local Church

K. had her first chemotherapy and immunotherapy appointment at the Royal Marsden today.  It was scheduled to last seven hours so we agreed that I wouldn’t go as even my witty banter and repartee can’t last that long.  

As it happens, K has not yet had the chemo as she keeps having reactions to the immunotherapy, meaning they keep having to stop and restart.  Because they haven’t been able to finish the course, K is now having to stay overnight so that everything can carry on tomorrow morning.  She’s exhausted….

Hopefully things will get better as treatment progresses over time.  Apparently that’s what tends to happen.
