Contemplating the Abyss...

This is an American Water Frog, Lithobates. the genus of 'true frogs', commonly known as Bullfrogs. This group of water-loving frogs includes many species, 7 to 50, depending on how they're defined. One of my favorites is our Southern leopard frog, which this isn't. It's most likely a young American Bullfrog.  m
