Experiments...

I'm not usually a fan of Bethany's experiments. They usually involve a degree of mess in the preparation and tend to additionally leave an extra layer of mess in the aftermath.

This one however is one of her long standing experiments of which I'm quite fond. It is probably long running because it has been disregarded and forgotten about but I like to check in on it every couple of weeks and provide it some CO2 fuel.

It started out as just a tub of moist mud but it has been left to soak up our summer sun. It's a sealed tub so it retains water and doesn't make a mess. Over the past couple of months, the various moss and plant bits that were in the mud have grown up and it looks rather alive now.
