Sea- Pinks.

What a different day it has been from yesterday, sunny and warm with very little wind.
Lovely day to be out walking at Machrihanish.
The sand martins are back and the gannets too.

In Scots, the flower known as "thrift" (Armeria maritima) is referred to as Sea-Pinks and this is how I have always known it.
