Chilling with Mum

It was such a lovely day that we decided to go out and enjoy it, firstly with a walk up Cocking Hill and then lunch at the Unicorn in Heyshott. Most of the ewes on the hill are still waiting to give birth, but there was a small group of very new lambs in one field including this little one.

As we were walking near the top of the hill, before heading downwards again on our usual round trip, I said to Mr DA, "Find me a hare!" and no sooner had I uttered the words than we spotted one in the field to the left! Unfortunately, it spotted us too and legged it across the path and into the field to our right, briefly attempting to disguise itself as a sheep (see Extras) before hopping over the brow of the hill and out of sight.
