We are coming up out of the foundations quite nicely with much accomplished today despite showers around lunchtime. It's a challenging task when working with old recycled stone because the fit is always a compromise, and it can take a while to "get your eye in" and to be able to spot the right stone from the pile of rubble that confronts us next to the wall.  But it is so satisfying when you get it right.  More to do tomorrow.  Thank you everyone for encouraging comments yesterday, I'll be catching up on your journals at the weekend once I've had a bit of a rest.
