2025 Thursday — Luncheon Speaker

This was a busy day with two separate gatherings. One in the morning and another was a lunch gathering with a lovely turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and all the trimmings.

We arrived back to our house and realized that our neighborhood was experiencing holiday population with at least four of the nearby vacation houses occupied by the owners. It’s always fun to have the hood full with all the owners and their families.

This has been Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday. It is a Christian holy day that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with His disciples and the act of washing their feet. The term "Maundy" comes from the Latin word "mandatum," meaning "commandment," referring to Jesus' command to love one another as He loved them.
