Common Sun Beetle

A cold, drizzly and grey day, but I decided to move my house plants to a sheltered spot outside. I repotted  some of them and was surprised to find this sun beetle in the bottom of one of the pots. He must have spent the winter indoors. Alas, no sign of any sun for him when I turned him out.
