Pink bells

This morning I came across some roadside banking in the village covered with these pretty flowers. I have not noticed them before.

I imagine I’m the only one not to know that it is Creeping Comfrey. The kind of plant that we would love in our garden - I wonder whether we have some - as it is great ‘ground cover’. But ‘real gardeners’ will most likely call it ‘invasive’.

A wet and windy day. This morning the village car park was full and lots of people and dogs passed by our gate, on their way to High Cup Nick. Later I watched some very wet people and dogs returning from the hills!
