My Year in Pictures

Back home

The most amazing service from the most wonderful man - he couldn't have been more kind and compassionate when we took Bill to him on Wednesday and then again today when we picked his ashes up.

Between him and the lovely vet that came on Wednesday morning, they've helped make things that tiny wee bit easier for us both.

Edit 22/4
Two things I forgot to add about today:
1. Whilst the house is so quiet without Bill, we've been 'hearing' all sorts of noises and keep on thinking it's him - even though we know it's not. Anyway after one such 'noise' I had to go downstairs and as I did so a small brown dog trotted out of the utility room. I knew it couldn't be Bill, but did for a nano second think it was...  Anyway it was Teddy who'd taken advantage of all the doors and gates being open and had trotted over for an explore! So the 'noise' we'd heard was a dog!
2. After a couple of days break, I did my usual walk late afternoon and, after the wonderful experience with the deer that other day, I couldn't believe it when I saw them all again today - and in even greater numbers! And all of them bar one (perhaps 40 plus) lying down. They took off as soon as I entered the field but another incredible moment.
