Bricking
The model factory plywood carcass will be clad in 3D-printed brick panels for the level of detail I'm looking to achieve.
Windows were a bit of a quandary. I'd designed and printed some panels that were necessarily thicker than the standard brick panels. They were good but the chances of me being able to router out the necessary accurate depth of play to align them with adjacent thin panels was... optimistic.
Thus version 2. Separating the front facing brick and the window and its reveal into separate prints which will require careful alignment and fettling, but (hopefully) rather more easily than version 1.
It's a slow process but at least I can let the printer get on with it while I'm doing something else.
