Note to self

Don’t go to Glencoe on a bank holiday. Could not believe how busy today has been. We were up, quick walk, breakfast and out for walk to signal rock by 8:30 and already quite a few people out, walking in woods and down by the river. Lots of campers and we were only about ten minutes away from hostel so perhaps it is always busy. We then moved on to National trust visitors centre and had difficulties getting out as coaches coming in didn’t leave enough space.
The main road through the Glen was unbelievable, every car park heaving.
Arrived at mountain resort had lunch and headed off for a walk, as we were on the west highland way that was also busy.
The sun has been out most of the day, although it has been raining for the past hour.
Highlight of the day is the small herd of deer that wandered past while we were having lunch, they were at the wrong side of the deer fence enjoying the woodland that the fence should be protecting. We also saw a single deer in the woods on our earlier walk.
