The Tree of the Year 2022

This morning, Carol, Wendy and I went to Kippford and went for a lovely walk down to the beach, where the Hawthorn is still standing, no matter what the weather. In 2022 this tree was crowned the Tree of the Year Kippford Leaning Tree – Tree of the year It is rather iconic and I have lots of memories from years ago, taking the boys to play on the beach, having their photo taken under this tree.
After the walk, we went for a lovely coffee in The Ark, before heading back home.
We certainly had made the most of the day, since it turned rather miserable later on. So much so, the woodburning stove was in full swing for the afternoon and evening!
