Dandelion time

We had a bee group meeting last week, where we were told that dandelion time is the beginning of swarming time. There is potentially plenty of nectar and pollen available,  which means plenty of young bees can be reared, which means bees that are ready to make wax. All of the ingredients for a successful swarm, so far as the queen bee is concerned.
So beekeepers beware! I have given my bees extra space, to store any honey and not crowd the hive. It’s probably not a good idea to go off on holiday as action to split the hives may be needed….so, what have I planned?!
