Wisteria in Wells

Lovely day with my Mum :)  We had a nice slow start and a relaxed morning - then watched To Kill a Mockingbird on DVD in the early afternoon.  I hadn't seen it for years (decades?), and although I'd remembered it as a brilliant film, I'd forgotten most of it, so it was a treat to see it again.

After that, we headed down to the town for an early dinner at Ask Italian.  Mum's wheelchair was playing up though, and refused to go at anything beyond a snail's pace.  We finally had to concede (when it had taken us five minutes to go a couple of hundred yards) we weren't going to be able to get there, so turned round and headed back home - only to find as soon as we got in the house that it was working again (as she sped through the kitchen...!)  So out we headed again.  I'd been trying to phone the restaurant to cancel, but no one was answering - which I ended up being glad about.  Tried again on the way, to let them know we were running late - they were very nice and said they'd hold the table.

We were very lucky with the weather too - the forecast had been pretty terrible (and it had rained a lot earlier on), but it stayed dry for us the whole time.  We had a delicious meal and a lovely time, then an easy walk/wheel back home - passing this pretty sight on the way.
