Good Friday
It had been decided to hold tonight's Good Friday service in this corner of the church. There is no electric lighting in this area so by the time the service finished at 8pm it was quite dark.
At choir practice on Wednesday the choir leader's husband had brought some LED lights but they had green and blue bulbs, and were not particularly bright. I offered to bring my 2 Newar LED lights and stands, they have warm white and cool white bulbs and can be adjusted between the two. They were much appreciated and gave the choir enough light to read their words and music. (We were over to the right, away from the window.)
I had just enough light from the window to do my reading. Having said that about the problems of lighting, we overcame them and the service of choral items, readings and silences was very moving.
There were over 30 of us there, including 11 choir members which was good for our small village at this type of service.
